It's Complicated
About Me:
I am currently studying Intermedia at the Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland.

My work attempts to spread positive energies and take down viewer obstructing boundaries and stereotypical views of art. I do this by creating interactive, collaborative, multi-sensorial installations/ performances/ happenings/ and experiences. My main use of media is video, sound, writings and performance. I use these in the installations, etc and to document my work.

If anyone is intersested in collaborating then give me a shout. I live in Edinburgh so that may be a factor. I am also holding an interactive, multi-sensorial, installation, music and performance night in the Wee Red Bar, Edinburgh College of Art, Edinburgh in June 08. If you would like to perform, collaborate, install, play or show a video then ask me for some info.

thanks

Steven

Fluxus Rebel was not a stolen concept. I was merely playing on the Dictator concept to challange it. I thought that was obvious with the wording and image. I mean no offence and have no plans to carry on with it now that i know Fluxus Dictator is not happy with it.

thank god for art to keep us alive! I'm very interested in the scale of things, and wish I'd bought a video cam with closeup lens...it has 40X zoom, but you still can't get very close. I like exploring spaces close up, esp. those that turn out to be much smaller than you'd think.
I like entrances, especially somewhat hidden ones. I think it's part of the human psyche maybe...think of all the caves with hidden entrances, going back hundreds of thousands of years!

By the way congratulations on the academic performance.... I sense an air of conservative reluctance in those hallowed halls so double congrats for doing it.

Oh! brilliant Steve, my poems in a broad Scottish accent, that I would love to hear.
Emporer song? Back in the days of punk I think, hold on I'll have a look, it is published on my CD 'Old Stuff (expectorant)'... 1981.
I have published (on CD) one Scottish piece, The Execution of Earl Magnus of Orkney, it's an audio drama with participation of the Haining when he was in a different manifestation of himself! It is loosely based on a few chapters of the Icelandic saga 'Orkneyinga saga'.

good greetings

Thanks Steve I accept your offer of friendship gladly!

One of Scotlands greatest artist (personal opinion) lives and works in Dundee, Liz (Mrs me) and me visited him often back in the 80's and 90s. These days he goes under the name Haining. We (me the missus Haining and his brother Chris tackled many the Munroe together.
You are living in a very beautiful city, I am sure there is inspiration enough for you there.

my best greeting

OH! I was also of a mind to have fun with the Fluxus Dictator but his response to my last comment leads me to believe he might not be a well person so it might be kinder to leave him in his cell!
You're looking good, better just concentrate on Art or not... Steve?
