About Me:
I've been an artist for most of my life. I stated out as a painter and gradually lost interest in painting and discovered the world of mail art and collage etc. I have been doing more collaborative work since 1980 when I stumbled upon the postal art network. I have self published my own books , 'zines and postcards and initiated projects using the mail art network. Recently I have drifted more into the internet and the blogging world.

Shopping for Clues

Today I went shopping for clues. I found some in some shoes. In another shop I found some hints inside a box of squints. I bought some bread covered in finger prints and some juices with straws. Some curry powder and jelly disguised as a belly. Under the microscope I could see the evidence of tampering. the packets had been jiggled. The pockets had been joggled and the pickets had been picked to ribbons. The judge said he was prepared to wait ages for a decision about the what nots. The Hob Nobs… Continue

Dream

The space station was made of old bamboo gliders cleverly roped together . Inside the infated heads grew and burst. Stuffed shirts puffed up. One head looked a bit like Victor Mature. The earth looked very beautiful from orbit of the bamboo space station. Bits stuck out at angles. Inside the puffed up origami shirts grew and went bang. The breathing shirts. Puffed up heads throbbing in cabins - portholes through which we see the earth below looking very beautiful. the blue see and clouds floarin… Continue

The Glitterati Of Glossop

Hazel had a fun but tiring day in Glossop ( Peak District ) with a group of her 1st years on Interactive Arts and some Fine Art from MMU. They got a coach up to the moors and climbed a big hill to fly kites for a couple of hours until the kites fell to bits and they got cold. They went for a pub lunch and afterwards went upstair s to a small room which had a stage at one end and a small bar at the other. Some students did some performances around the theme of Wittgenstein ( he flew kites up on t… Continue

Library Exhibition

Hazel helped me put up a small exhibition in our local library foyer yesterday. There's a year long waiting list and I thought it would never come round to my turn. It took two hours to hang. Just 20 small collages. It's nice to be able to show work though dont expect much response. We shall see. Afterward we celebrated not hitting our fingers or thumbs by doing some charity shop shopping. I found some cheap PC games and Hazel bought some knitting gadgets- needle gauges etc.

I'm sorry I don't know if the factory is Italian, Belgian or German. I bought that rubber (last time) in a stationery shop about 5 years ago...

I'm very glad you got the mail and aldo that you liked the rubber stamp. I've always used that type of rubber
to carve my r.-stamps. It is called "ADIGRAF" and it is used by children in the school to make their small artwork...I'm happy you found some works I did in 80s. I thank you for posting them in your blog. Hope the're good work I don't remember them.
Ciao, Lancillotto
