born 1953. Been working within dada/Fluxus/conceptual art/surrealism framework since 1972. Biggest early inspiration: Yoko Ono. Much performance and Fluxus-related work at Leeds Polytechnic 1973-76 . See website for an informal archive of projects, objects and ephemera. ...... soundwork at: Acidplanet.com>ron crowcroft, photography at: jpgmag.com. Ron crowcroft. Two CDs self-released FLUX and REFLUX. Shows and events on the fringe over the years. Mail art in late 70s. DIY cassette music scene England 1979-82. Contact me. I'm looking for collaborations or opportunities for performance, interactions, improvised soundwork, and other ways to disorient myself and others, and interrupt our lives with superficial thoughtfulness. The OPENFLUXUS site has pictures of artwork, photographs, and some of my soundwork pieces.
Ron,
I believe that musicians are artists. I also used to paint, but not so much anymore. Used to work with wood. Love the smell of the wood. (I also love the smell of the soil--but I guess that has nothing to do with art. :) I am also a writer. A writer is also an artist of words. I guess I'm just a simple artisan--in many ways. I came here because I was drawn here...

thanks, got it, will see you there.... I just don't want to carry too much stuff from wherever I park, so the closer the better....... ron
Parking is tight at the site but I will email you my cell number and you can call me if you have any problems. We're used to the area and can help. The metered parking is on Bay Street but closer to Alice Austin it's regular street parking. There's no parking lot. I'm sure grass will be no problem (there's lots) I will write more in the email.
Hi - I am planning to be at the "Bridge the Gap" show at the Alice Austin House this Saturday at 11:00. Do you need directions ? Should we pick a spot to meet? There's a very large tree in the front with a wooden seat. We could meet there.
